Sam's Crab House - Richmond

I had the fried catfish and that was the bomb. This is my new seafood spot. I also received very good customer service from every employee. I will definitely be back. so glad I try.

It's good but they too expensive. And they need to switch up the hot food selection and season the awful collard greens. The cabbage is safe , mabe a little more season. Mac and cheese 5 stars it self especially with that burnt top you get some times. Don't do the crab cake sandwich.

Super friendly service and great FRESH food. Cooked to order. Nice variety of tasty things. Blue crab was delicious! Croaker was tasty and the fried oysters were gobbled up fast.

The seafood pasta salad was delicious (despite adding mustard to my batch to moisten it up). The hush puppies were good but some were a little under cooked. The shrimp and catfish were on point. Made up for the last time I had over seasoned shrimp. However there were still minor things that made my review a 3. Worth another try.

It is the Very Best ?Hole in the Wall? Restaurant food that my husband and I have ever had! Fresh seafood cooked to perfection and awesome sweet tea. We each had the #8 that includes 1/2 pound (probably more), 1/2 pound snow crab (probably more), a side (we had the mushroom, onion, and peppers, a tiny cole slaw, two hush puppies, and a sweet tea, ALL Delicious for $14.99!!! And...talk about sincere customer service: Jose? exemplified that by his friendly, helpful, and kind demeanor. Honestly, we thought that he must own the place. Doris cooked up our meal with medium Old Bay seasoning to mouth-watering perfection to our palettes.
