Edited to respond:Not a patch on Philz in the Bay Area. We went here on the strength of reviews which mentioned Philz as a comparison and as we're in Richmond, Virginia, we gave it a go.Good coffee but not great, nor do they offer anything close to the selection at Philz as the implication suggested in the other review.Also, please refill the soap dispenser in your one working loo. It's a little disconcerting that customers and potentially staff are using the loo and coming out with hands that haven't been washed effectively. Looks like it's been out a while!

Very friendly neighborhood spot. Dog friendly. Week days you can sit inside. Weekends think take out.

I like coming here most of the time to work but once in a while one of the baristas blasts really intense music that completely ruins the relaxing coffee shop atmosphere. it’s really hard to study and i have to blast my own music louder than is comfortable to drown out their music. i like it here but this makes it hard to keep coming back/if i see that barista working i usually just leave tbh

Love this place! We have become regulars here, it’s a critical piece of our weekend routine! Highly recommend the veg head and cheese and egg breakfast sandwich. Best coffee in church hill by far, we like the chai latte and the almond joy drinks. Must try if you are in the neighborhood!
