Bidrage med feedbackThe falafel here with my sister before and it was good! not the best I ever had, but still good when they are in the opposite and have starved. also did not know that this place was halfway until I left this morning, so share for other halalies out there!
This Restaurant is Turkish and I enjoyed the music, the server cashier was very friendly, helped me pick a selection and the Chicken Gyro Salad was as visually attractive as it was delicious. I highly recommend ?
Rather than our regular weekly Zoom meeting, my writing group met for lunch here. You can't really see the restaurant from the street; it is in a small strip mall off Richmond Parkway. Parking might be difficult; they share the parking lot with a busy marijuana dispensary and a few other businesses. We ordered at the cash register and sat down. There are only a few tables they seemed to do a lot of takeouts. We shared an order of hummus it was delicious. I ordered the beef shish plate it came with rice pilaf, house salad, a choice of red cabbage or hummus, and a grilled tomato. The portions wren generous and the grilled flank steak kebabs were very tender. I could not finish my lunch, when I ate the leftovers next I did not enjoy it as much. It might be my fault, perhaps I overheated them. When I go back I will have the rice plate, I think I will finish it and not have leftovers. It only is served with rice meat and the star of the show, for me anyway, are the grilled tomatoes. I am always happy when restaurants open in West Contra Costa, I hope this one stays around for awhile
I've been there several times u really couldn't go wrong with any of there entrées.. My favorite is the salmon combo Greek salad. The Pita bread Hummus is excellent.. The Lemonade is on point not to sweet perfectly sour a most get drink to wash it down..
What a wonderful addition to the small shopping center on Richmond Pkwy and San Pablo Ave. I live all of 900 feet from this shopping center, and yet only would visit for two things gas and Starbucks. Historically, the restaurants in this plaza are nothing short of a disappointment. But then along came Richmond Kebab Gyros. I walked in on one of the first few days after opening and ordered a lamb and beef plate, which comes with rice, purple pickled cabbage, and a side salad. They also give you nice, warm pita. And let me tell you... what a great meal. And enough food to actually last me two meals, for a reasonable price. The meat was flavorful and the cuts were big. They weren't skimping out on anything. The rice was perfectly cooked; not too dry, not too soggy, and rich in flavor that paired well with the meat. The most pleasant surprise was the side salad. Typically speaking, restaurants give you some sad, wilted lettuce and maybe a slice of cucumber if you're lucky. But Richmond K G outfitted my salad with roasted tomatoes, roasted green peppers, and fresh herbs to give it a nice umph. All together, the meal was cohesive, filling, and totally worth it. I've since tried a number of plates, over rice dishes, and wraps. My current flavor of choice this month is the combo wrap. Beef, lamb and chicken wrapped up tight in what I assume is a sturdy yet light lavash and supplemented with some standard wrap veggies. I usually ask that they cut it in half for me and then I can make that into two meals as it is quite filling. This place definitely gives you your money's worth. Staff is friendly I interact with who I presume is maybe the owner and lead chef, and the young woman who is behind the counter. Both are very sweet, helpful, and are a friendly face to see when you walk in. Always a treat to be served by them. The true test of a good kebab place is their falafel a 10 10 and their baklava also a 10 10 . If I could live off of falafel and baklava for the rest of my life, I would only buy it from this place. Their falafel is nice and crisp on the outside, but soft and delicious on the inside. The baklava is to die for. Taking a bite and having that syrup drip out ... chef's kiss! All in all, this place is a diamond in the rough. You might look past it based on the location it's in, but I urge you to take a second look. I promise it'll be worth it!
