Big Boy - Richmond

What a delightful experience! The waitress was wonderful—friendly, kind, and incredibly attentive. She truly went above and beyond. The service was exceptional, and the food was excellent! This was my first visit to a Big Boy, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn’t anything like fast food at all! I really appreciated the nostalgic 2000s sit-down diner atmosphere. I also want to give a shout-out to the arcade games available for credit card play—lots of fun and very interactive. It’s a great spot for people of all ages!

To be honest, it has been years since I ate anything from Frisch's, and that might be because I had so much of it growing up. My mom worked at Frisch's for over 30 years, and both of my brothers also worked there, each spending nearly a decade before moving on to other opportunities. As for me, I only lasted about two weeks before quitting back in 1989. Since then, I hadn't returned until last month when I received buy one get one free coupons in the mail. Don't get me wrong, I’ve always thought their food was great. I didn’t even realize it had been 40 years since I had a Big Boy sandwich! I’m so glad I found those coupons; who knows how long it would have taken me to remember what I had forgotten? It might have been another 40 years before I enjoyed a delicious Big Boy sandwich with Frisch's world-famous tartar sauce. I'm just really happy they're still around in the area!

My friend and I visited for breakfast about a month ago, and while most of the experience was fine, our server was a bit rude and pushy. I was just looking forward to a nice breakfast since I work the night shift and find it challenging to go out due to my severe PTSD and social anxiety. We didn't feel very welcome. However, I'm planning to give it another try today after work with my husband to see how it goes this time.

Great vegetable soup. Best cod fish sandwich. Service good. Will go back

The burger was average at best, no tomato and I didn't like the middle bun. It was small and didn't come with a side. Service was fine
