Top Shanghai Cuisine Shàng Hǎi Yī Zhǐ Dǐng

This was my second visit, and it did not disappoint. The food continues to impress. The xiao long bao featured a delicate wrapper filled with perfectly seasoned meat and just the right amount of soup. The pan-fried pork buns were also expertly made. While the Shanghai noodles were fairly standard, the rice cakes mixed with three types of seafood were lightly seasoned, achieving a nice balance without being overpowering.

The XLB here is simply incredible. I could easily return just to indulge in it again and again. A quick note on portion sizes—dishes such as the Crispy Fried Duck and the Soup with Bamboo Shoots and Pork in Casserole are enormous. My friend and I struggled to finish even half of what we ordered. I recommend coming with a group of at least four if you can. The restaurant tends to be quite loud and often busy, which might slow down the service a little. However, if you're focused on enjoying great food, it's definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for dumplings—freshly made and absolutely delicious. While the service could improve, the outstanding quality of the food makes the 20-30 minute wait worthwhile. Do keep in mind that your dishes will be served in courses, as they rarely prepare your entire order all at once. Unfortunately, the tan-tan noodles were underwhelming and came out just lukewarm. Nevertheless, make sure to visit for the dumplings; they won't let you down!

One of the top destinations for Shanghainese cuisine! This is one of my favorite places for xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), shengjianbao (pan-fried buns), and wontons. The pea shoots here are always amazing. We also tried the sea bass battered fish, and it was superb. I typically order the green beans as well. The menu is extensive, but everything they serve is exceptional!

**Areas for Improvement:** Customer service could use some enhancement, particularly during busy times when it takes longer than expected to place orders. Additionally, the Honey Garlic Spare Ribs could benefit from a stronger honey flavor, as they didn’t quite live up to my expectations. Overall, it’s a great place to enjoy delicious food with friends!
