Spice World Hotpot - Richmond

The service was terrible. We waited for almost an hour and a half and only got some breadsticks. It seemed like the staff completely overlooked us. Moreover, the condiment station was dirty, and the sauces looked unappealing. We were very disappointed. It was a poor experience, and we won't be coming back!

After that, we waited an entire hour for our food to arrive. Each time we inquired about the status, the server simply replied that it was "already being cooked." When the food finally arrived, the portions that were advertised as shareable were disappointingly small, barely enough to serve 2-3 people. Overall, it was quite disheartening—don’t fall for the paid reviews like we did.

This hot pot restaurant is pricey and definitely not worth the cost. When compared to places like Dollar Shop or Hai Di Lao, it falls short in terms of atmosphere, service, and variety, yet the prices are similar. When looking at Happy Lamb, the prices here are significantly higher, but the quality doesn’t seem much better, and you won’t leave feeling full or satisfied with the selection for the price you pay. Overall, it feels like a mediocre option that doesn't stand out in any way, and there are definitely better hot pot places to choose from.

Honestly, this hot pot place is quite good. I really enjoyed the udon; it's nice and chewy. The spam was interesting as it had a flavor that resembled both sausage and spam, which was unique. There weren't many people there, which was nice, and they have a great selection of drinks. Just a heads-up: if you're having the tomato soup, it's best to avoid wearing white, as it might stain. Overall, it’s a solid choice! As for parking, there are plenty of good spots available.

I dined at the restaurant with some friends, and after waiting 15 minutes to catch the waiter's attention, he eventually came to our table. Unfortunately, he misplaced our order, and we ended up waiting an hour and a half without receiving any food. I was incredibly disappointed and frustrated. The staff appeared indifferent to our predicament and didn't check on us at all. I left feeling quite unhappy and definitely won’t be coming back. It was a disrespectful experience.
