Bidrage med feedbackGood option to enjoy oriental dishes. As its name suggests, the tofu is the gem of the restaurant. I recommend it.
This restaurant serves authentic Korean food prepared by Korean owners. I really enjoyed the galbi cooked on a hot plate with onions, as well as the hot tofu soup. The seafood pancake is a must-try as well. The Korean beer was just okay.
Going out to eat is supposedly an enjoyable affair, but at times can be quit stressful. Bottom line: food is ok, way they treat customer is not worth the trouble.E.g. The lady who took the order seems to be the proprietor and she did not make one welcome at all it is almost business like the way she took the order, no greeting etc., oh well and on a Sunday night at dinner time the place was almost empty and it was just around 6:00pm they already ran out of Oysters for their tofu soup. Second thing is when the food arrives one finds out that the "combination" which she tried to push was smaller in size than a single order and nothing like the photos in the menu, then why bother with photos anyways. All other Korean Restaurants would have complimentary side dishes, but when asked the server said that the owner tells her to say the kimchi has ran out! Have you been to a Korean Restaurant with kimchi totally out during dinner service?I then asked if I am willing to pay extra for any other sides the server said that they cannot do that and each table can only refill once...with whatever they have left.I have never been to any establishment that treats guest like they have to beg for their food...for sure I am not willing to fork out any more of my money to this place!
Korean cuisine was never high on my ethnic priorities however admittedly I'm a sucker for tofu. Today was my day I suppose to venture into tofu for lunch. I enjoyed a fabulous tofu stew and BBQ beef ribs combo, and a very satisfying lunch it was. The best part was that it cost less than $20.
I've chance to have a dinner in this Korean restaurant in late December. I choose a combo menu in which I can have a Korean-style stone rice and a small mild-spicy tofu soup with beef. There are actually a number of levels for spicy and I just take the lightest one. There are also a number of complimentary Korean appetizers, including Kimchi. Overall, the service is good, the time to wait for the food is reasonable, and the price is affordable. For the menu, there are lots of variety and you can choose Korean BBQ too.
