T.k.k. Fried Chicken - Richardson

I ordered online for pickup around 4 pm. Sent my cousin to pick it up and they had not made my order. Took 15 minutes just to get them to confirm it and make it after my cousin is waiting at the restaurant. It is 5:20 now at the time of writing and they still haven't made our order and no one at the counter to ask about it. They gladly took my money though! The past two times we ordered for delivery and they missed items in our order which is why we ordered for pickup this time. I enjoyed the food here in the past but I will never order again because the service is awful. No reason why my cousin should be waiting over an hour in a nearly-empty restaurant for food for three people.

I appreciate it being cooked fresh. Service was ok. The taste is mediocre for the price and my biscuits were burnt on the bottom. I will not return

The prices are a bit high considering the size of the chicken and the freshness of the cooked meat. It doesn't quite compare to the fried chicken offered at Taiwanese restaurants in Plano. I hope they enhance the quality of their food before the grand opening. It seems like the higher cost might be largely due to the packaging and branding.

The service was good and the place was clean. However, there’s no curbside service. The quarter chicken combo feels a bit pricey at $9, especially since it comes with two small drumsticks (not as generous as those in Taiwan), along with fries, a biscuit, and a fountain drink. The batter and flavor have a distinctive Taiwanese twist. It's interesting to note that TKK is part of Kung Fu Tea at this location – a cool concept!

The food was excellent, albeit a bit pricey, which we anticipated. However, the service fell short of expectations. Being a chain restaurant, the menu offered standard fare, but we genuinely enjoy their recipes, so we didn’t mind paying a little extra for the meal. The staff were experienced, but there seemed to be a lack of warmth and enthusiasm; it felt more like ordering from a robot than a person. Improved friendliness from the staff would make a big difference. On the plus side, drink service was prompt, and while the food took a bit longer to arrive since it was freshly prepared, it did not disappoint! We'll certainly return for the fantastic food, even if the service could use some work.
