Bidrage med feedbackDefinitely recommended. Nice small town place. Interesting decorations. Would rather go here instead of big corporate places. Unfortunately got no pictures since had my hands full with the twins.
I have lived in Rice for just over a year. Many times I have driven by this Resturant but never wanted to try it because of comments from my neighbors and sadly because the front outside and exterior very messy. I noticed that the front had beencleaned so I thought well I'll give it a try. I walked in and sat down. A cute red head w freakles came right to my table. She was warm and welcoming and took care of me beverages promptly, got my order and the food came quickly. The plate of food wasnot appealing looking. The scrambled eggs were not yellow rather more a black gritty look from a poorly cleaned griddle butedible, the hash browns were absolutely horrible. They were burnt on the outside, and the inside they were soggy not crisp andtasted of old griddle oil sorry to say the worst I ever had . I tried the biscuits and gravy and it was good but wasn'ttrusting enough to eat eat based on all my above comments. I literally took a little bite of each, got up left my entire plateon the table, went to the counter and paid the $12.50ish bill and left her a $2 tip. I didn't say a word to her. I insteadcalled back after getting my breakfast at McDonald's. I got a man on the phone and he I believe was the one that cooked thefood. It sucked for me to share with him my experice and the food. He said sorry but seemed like he didn't get it? No offer toreimburse me? No asking me to give them another opportunity? Service was great, atmosphere cute and food????????
I'm going to be straightforward: the food was excessively overpriced for both its quality and quantity. The pancakes were fluffy but ended up being mushy, almost like eating raw batter. The eggs were so greasy that my daughter wouldn't touch them, and I had to put my fork down after trying them myself. As expected, my son also refused to eat his pancakes. My biscuits and gravy were completely inedible. Overall, our visit was a major disappointment—I spent $50 just to eat greasy mush. We definitely won't be coming back.
The service was outstanding. The comfort food was exactly what two travelers were looking for. Don't compare the decor to anything you've seen before; this place is one-of-a-kind and a hidden gem in a small town. Good luck resisting the urge to take a photo of the wallpaper—unlike my friend! City folks can be so obvious sometimes. Sorry about that! I would definitely eat there again... if they let us! LOL
We stopped by on our way to Breezy Point and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was fantastic, and the food was delicious. It's definitely a stop worth making. Our group of eight had a great experience, with no complaints at all. They even offered $1 beers, which is hard to beat. The café has that perfect cozy atmosphere that you look for. Highly recommended!
