Bidrage med feedbackMy wife and I sung here during the Christmas holidays. whe the inner of the place not offer much, the service was prompt and polite. this is also the first place where I was, offering a firecueche with escargots. my wife loved... it went with the traditional salmon flames that was good, but not great. all in all, you will not be disappointed.
Went here and got a table inside with no distance to the next tables. Not CORONA safe. Service was inattentive and we waited and waited. Had plenty of time to see tacky cocktails at the other tables and so so food. At the end we...left without ordering anything. We simply found the place impersonal, inattentive and actually a tourist trap. The best thing we did today was to leave this place and find another nice and personal restaurant next door. Won’t come back.
We had lunch here on a Monday. The small restaurant is located right on the Grand Rue which was flooded with tourists. By the restaurant was packed. We were fortunate to get a two-person table on the small terrace in front. Luckily, there weren’t...any smokers during our lunch. We each had a flammkuchen. Both were tasty but not as good as other flammkuchens we’ve had on this trip. The dough was thin and flaky and was the best part. But there was a lack of cheese topping. We also had a small pichet of Riesling. It also was tasty. Overall, lunch was good but not really special except for the service which for a crowded restaurant was excellent. It’s best to arrive early for lunch if you want to be sure of getting a table.
To be honest, the village is so touristy and there are so many restaurants, I did not expect too much. But I must say I was proven wrong. I had the set vegetarian menu with salad and goats cheese starter which was really nice. Good...dressing and the goats cheese was wrapped in filo pastry and deep fried. Only criticism, some of the leaves were a bit wilted on the tips. My hubby had duck slices on salad. For main he had spätzle and veil an mushroom sauce, I had spätzli gratin with Munster cheese on top. Both dishes were done very well, good quality meat and the gratin was proper moorish and creamy with lots of cheese, as it should be. We would definitely recommend. Don’t be put off by the simple and cheap decor
This is one a many street restaurants but we chose this one as it looked more welcoming and totally clean. The fish was delicate and perfectly cooked with a light creamy sauce. Very enjoyable lunch, would recommend it.
