The restaurant could be a good restaurant but there are some things that need to be worked out. I made reservations for 6 people (including 2 children) for 17:30 on a Saturday. I was really excited b c of the reviews I've seen. The bad: Operationally, the meal went terribly. Food took too long to arrive and when it did arrive, it was over-cooked. For example, I put in the kid's food order right away b c I knew they were hungry. I ordered a kid's burger and a couple of sides. Burger came out in a reasonable amount of time. Sides came out ~30 minutes after the burger was finished. Oma and Opa ordered burgers. My wife and I ordered a tuna steak and entrecote. We waited over an hour for that food to arrive. Oma's burger was cold upon arrival. As indicated earlier, the tuna steak was way over-done and my steak was also overdone. The coordination of hot food arriving at the same time needs to be worked out. Honestly, as a father of two young children, I wouldn't have cared if the food came out at different times. Just not cold overcooked... I'd also say their wine selection (at a steakhouse) could be better. The good: The salmon tartar was delicious. The carrot and rosemary potato sides were tasty too. Solid steak and fish selection for you to choose from. Our server was kind and there were plenty of servers. I asked to speak with the manager and he was understanding as well. I'd be willing to try this place again if we're ever in the area but it's got to work out some operational items
I’m Argentinian and we do have great meat, so not sure what to expect. Well, I was very surprised, great place, amazing meat, the cuts were perfectly cooked and side dishes amazing, especially carrots and potatoes. One great little gem in Emsland.
Die Jakobsmuscheln als Vorspeise waren schrecklich. Die Küche hat keine Ahnung, wie man sie zubereitet. „Schuster bleib bei deinen Leisten!“ Die Preise (zwischen 15, und 30, Euro pro 100 g) für das an der Theke ausgewählte Fleisch erwecken den Eindruck, dass die Küche dieses hochwertige Fleisch auch entsprechend gut zubereitet. Das ist jedoch nicht so. Das Fleisch war innen viel zu roh und kalt. Die Küche ist offenbar überfordert. Beilagen und Fleisch kommen nicht gleichzeitig auf den Tisch. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist schlecht. Das Ambiente draußen ist ungemütlich und wird gestört durch fahrende Landmaschinen auf dem Nachbargrundstück. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, aber nicht geschult und hat eine unklare Aufgabenteilung. Schade, aber keine gute Erfahrung, die wir nicht wiederholen werden.
Ein sehr toller Abend in einer gemütlichen Atmosphäre! Das Essen, vor allem Steak und der Lachs waren hervorragend!
