Austur-indiafelagid - Reykjavik

This restaurant is fantastic, offering high-quality dishes at affordable prices. The Lamb Shank Biryani was outstanding and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this to anyone craving authentic Indian food while in Iceland.

I visited Austur-Indiafjelagid again and, as always, I was not disappointed. This time I made reservations and was seated right away. I decided to try different dishes instead of my usual chicken Korma, and my niece did the same. We loved the food so much that we ordered extra rice and naan to soak up every last drop of the delicious sauce. I highly recommend this restaurant. If I have the chance to stopover in Iceland on my way to Europe, this is one dining experience I wouldn't want to miss.

Very varied menu, spicy, generous portions. Food was very good, with very friendly, knowledgeable service. Desserts were delicious, very soothing after the spicy food. Charming, beautiful decor. Most enjoyable evening.

Pretentious average quality Indian restaurant serving expensive North Indian food While the setting is beautiful with carefully thought out artistic decor, the food is over priced and rather average. The mixed vegetable dish was undercooked and the vegetable Pattie’s were served with an under spiced tomato sauce The food is probably designed to suit the Western palate. If you are used to Indian food or looking for an authentic Indian cuisine- try elsewhere

Had a lamb in this restaurant. It was very spicy, almost to much but very vell ballanced. The service was very professional.
