Panaderia Las Palomas - Reno

I’ve been looking for handmade corn tortillas in Reno for years, and they are here! Tacos con tortillas a mano. Very different from machine made tortillas. Not cheap, just fantastic. Way smaller than Pastelaría Ideal in Mexico City, or an 85C, but a lot like it and just as good! Grab a tray and tongs, and take home a boxful of treats.

A few weeks ago we went for a trip to Reno, Nevada and we came to eat at this place and the food is fantastic, we went there twice, everything is delicious, especially we loved the head and tongue tacos, I highly recommend it ?

After reading the reviews on this place I decided to order dinner for take out. I ordered the number one: three taco dinner plate. Two carne asada tacos and one lengua. The lengua was SUPER tender. It was cooked to perfection. All three tacos were delicious. Beans were nice and soft and creamy. Rice had a few stiff pieces in it but I came in literally as they were closing so I’m sure it was the end of the night rice. They held the door open for me so I could pay for my dinner and take it home. Thank you so much! They also have fresh baked goods and gorgeous handmade cakes. There is masa and home made salsa available too. The two pastries I purchased were so flaky and tasty. Very fun for dessert. Staff were very kind and friendly. Will definitely be eating here again. Vegetarian options: There are veggies options! Parking: Small parking lot right out front. Street parking also available. Wheelchair accessibility: Nice big ramp to access the restaurant.
