Bidrage med feedbackI found this restaurant ahead of my visit to Reims after reading reviews and recommendations, it did not disappoint! Only a few tables for dining so make sure you book ahead. Menu changes daily, and wines are chosen for you (if you wish). It’s a novel concept, and makes a nice change. Every dosh we had was superb!
We have been on a trip from Paris to Germany, not knowing exactly when we will be at Reims. Thought we could have a lovely lunch experience there, but as we asked for a table or a seating, we just get an very unfriendly: Do you have a reservation? No And then being left alone. And others seems to have been place therre without reservation. But being french. That 's definitely not what I expect in France.
Having chosen to spend the day driving from Paris to Brugge with a stop in Reims for a glass of champagne and a small bite we stumbled upon this location and fell in love. The ambiance, the kindness of the owners, and their care in their presentation. Beautiful and small it felt homey right from the start. The other table made you feel as if you were in someone’s dining room with good friends. Choose to stop and have a glass of champagne. Also, a small bite.
I had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful lunch in early April. My wife and I had just finished a tour of Veuve Cliquot and were looking to have a simple yet quality lunch. I had read about Bon Manger on TA and searched it out. I have to say it was, in all aspects, a tremendous experience. We arrived a bit after one, and there was a table open. Once the lovely owners realized we spoke no French, they welcomed us in with perfect English. We asked for a rose champagne and a beautiful bottle from a small producer was opened. The foie gras we shared was so fresh, plated simply but elegantly I had duck confit that was made with care and tasted incredible. This is the kind of place you think about when you dream about France. Real , honest and welcoming folks, who truly enjoy having you in their establishment. We both agree that if our travels take us back to Reims, we will be at A Bon Mangers table once again !
You have to visit this gorgeous little Place. What a selection of wine and champagne! A group of 10 of us went for an evening meal, a mix of veggies and meat eaters. It was our first time in Reims so the owner spent time with us telling us what we needed to know, talked us through the wine and champagne on offer it was fascinating. As for the food well I’m vegetarian and I was so tempted to eat the meat selection it was amazing. We asked for a selection of everything and even the gherkins were out of this world. What a guy, what a place. You won’t be disappointed.
