Reigate Manor - Reigate and Banstead

Good good, room service excellent!, room was a little dated and bathroom could do with an update. Staff great.

This is an updated review of the bar service, having now had response from the hotel Manager. We attended a charity comedy show there last week. The barstaff we experienced were either not trained 1 of them dishonest overcharged. I am pleased the Manager took time to speak with me. He did ask that I remove the review, but reviews are there TO HELP OTHER HOTEL VISITORS hence although I have removed it, I replace it with this revamp. The Manager said he'd address the issues I had has offered me husband a free drink each (if we ever get there just for a drink) but meantime just check your bill that you get the right measure of drink. Otherwise this is a really nice hotel, having stayed there 7 years ago, when I put on an event. I now hope to return for the same charity night (Royal Marsden Radio, who I listened to when in hosp) next April, if we're able to.

We visited this restaurant for afternoon tea to celebrate my mom's birthday. The food was delicious and they even brought out a special birthday slate with 'Happy birthday' written in chocolate, which was a thoughtful gesture. Unfortunately, the biggest issue with this restaurant was the slow service. The staff was incredibly slow and seemed to disappear after serving our tea. After waiting 90 minutes without any staff in sight, we had to track down someone to ask for a drink. We found them chatting in the 'ballroom' and finally placed our order. Another hour went by with no staff in sight before we had to find them again to ask for the bill. By then, there were multiple empty tables with leftover food on them, indicating that the staff did not attend to their duties. Eventually, someone arrived with a card machine to settle the bill. The food was good, but the poor time management left much to be desired.

While the afternoon tea was enjoyable, my experience was dampened by being seated in a small, windowless room on a beautiful sunny day. To make matters worse, a noisy hen party was also in the room. Overall, it was not the relaxing or enjoyable experience I had hoped for, especially considering the price.

Stayed one night for a friend's birthday dinner held in a private room. Lovely traditional hotel, super friendly staff...all very helpful. Nice clean room, the most comfy bed..and food delicious. Would recommend and stay again. It has a nice feel....thank you.
