Bidrage med feedbackBest Kept Secret in Regina!. The Lil' Belizean Cook Shack is by far the best restaurant in Regina! If you have ever eaten really good home-cooked third world cuisine, regardless of what country or cuisine you have had, you will not be disappointed in trying...Toni's fare. The menu is typical country cooked Belizean cuisine including the most basics of beans and rice. Every day has a different basic ingredient: pork on Thursdays, fish on Fridays, beef on Saturdays, etc. This is based on the practice in Belize of what products were brought to market on that day how authentic can you get? This restaurant puts to shame those Yuppie joints like Moxies or Montana’s! If you want a gastronomic experience you can do no better than try the Lil' Belizian Cook Shack I guarantee you will not be disappointed!!!
The Lil'Belizean Cook Shack has reopened! Toni is serving up authentic Belizean recipes, with certain items available on specific days to stay true to the Belizean market practices. If you've never experienced delicious, home-cooked Caribbean cuisine, then you must try the amazing food that Regina has to offer at this restaurant. Welcome back Toni!
Each day of the week they serve only one kind of meat. It is the tradition of Belize to do this. You can choose a small or large meal. It is very good and tasty. Good to take a date or family.
My family and friends visited this restaurant last night and we all loved our meals. We tried the curried chicken rotis and the Belizean style jerk chicken, both bursting with Caribbean flavors and absolutely delicious! Although they do not have a liquor license yet, the owner has a fantastic variety of teas to choose from. The restaurant truly lives up to its name as you will get to know the owner, who also serves as the chef and server. She has a wonderful sense of humor and we were delighted to see this restaurant back in business. Expect something unique when you dine here!
The food is served and prepared just like in Belize. Depending on the day you visit, they will be serving either pork, chicken, or beef dishes. The flavors are delicious.
