Bidrage med feedbackThe experience was pleasant overall. The service was attentive and efficient. However, the ambience could use some improvement. The Cajun fish dish was good, but the rice accompanying it was noticeably hard and seemed a bit old.
The servers were very friendly. It was interesting to see that there was a main server and an assistant server.
The service has declined compared to previous experiences. It took approximately 20 minutes for our first drinks to arrive. We were initially given a 7-ounce portion of wine instead of the 9-ounce we ordered, but they corrected it when we pointed it out. My husband's clam chowder was forgotten and our main dishes were served first. One serving of salmon was overcooked, although it was still served to us. They later brought a replacement halfway through the meal. Additionally, they did not offer pepper or Parmesan for the Alfredo, which we found unusual.
Earls anywhere are usually pretty standard but our experience in Regina recently was disappointing. We booked the lounge but were sat in a poor location near the kitchen, so then only offered the dining area. The booth was small for 4 people and unappealing. The Seven Terrace wine is on tap so when the glass I was served was off, both in taste and smell, I was told it was just warm....(I drink a lot of wine and often warm...I'm familiar with this wine)...they can't offer another sauvignon blanc because they only offer the one selection by the glass. It just then sets the tone for the rest of the evening and it was just meh. The food was ok. There server was sweet. The experience versus the $280 bill was not worth it.PS 3 days later we ate at Earls in Medicine Hat and the experience was excellent....and the Seven Terrace sauvignon blanc was also ? and delicious.
The atmosphere is nice, we sat outside on the patio. They didn't have my OpenTable reservation in their system but quickly seated us wherever we wanted. I showed them the confirmation email I had from OpenTable. When seated our table and other tables in the patio area all had crumbs on them. The server didn't offer to clean it, I had to ask for it to be cleaned. The food wasn't anything special. My sister has the ribeye steak and I had a burger. The burger had no seasoning on it and was bland. The bun was good. The fries were too crispy and hard. The steak and mashed potato was just ok. The dynamite roll was the best dish we had there. I'd recommend that. The service was ok but the for price of food and tip, it can be better. Overall I don't think I'd be back maybe for appy hour with friends.
