Spaghetteria - Regensburg

This was one of the first restaurants we ate at with friends after our arrival in Regensburg. For most, the location near Haidplatz is easily walkable from anywhere in the old city. Our party consisted of four adults and three children, ages 11, 10, and 8. We had no trouble getting a table for our larger party. The atmosphere is very nice--great lighting, lovely arches, attractive buffet--but was somewhat loud when busy, which made conversation up and down the table a little difficult at times. Four of us ordered pizza, two of the kids ordered pasta off the children's menu, and I ordered a calamari salad. The pizzas were quite large and the spicy Pizza Diavolo in particular got high marks from those who ordered it. The pasta dishes off the children's menu were good, but not large enough for older kids. Would maybe be good for 5-7 year olds. Fortunately the pizzas were so large that the 10 and 11 year old pasta eaters were able to help their fathers finish off a few slices. My only complaint was that my meal salad took a long time to arrive. Everyone else was half done eating before it finally came. So my advice is order the pizza. Based on or experience it will come to the table in short order! Complimentary passion fruit schnapps for the adults and lollipops for the kids capped off the evening. One note for tourists: this restaurant does offer an English menu upon request.

Needing a break from the meat fest (although it been great) and to try and get some veg. With the food we visited this restaurant and were not disappointed. Great roast veg anti-pasti followed by a substantial bowl of spaghetti puttanesca, all very tasty and all served in a beautiful old uilding with a combed ceiling. Very good value and friendly staff.

Not as good as it has been 10 years ago... the prices went up, but the quality did not...

Super delicious, noodles in cream sauce with ham.Small salad pollo .is prepared with a lot of love.

The food has always tasted very well, especially the vegan sauces and Penne Spinace are super delicious. The service is very friendly and attentive. Location top!
