Rio Piaxtla Food - Redwood City

I am conflicted. The food here is amazing! However the language barrier is a problem so they have a small child help communicate in English. The barrier is the not the problem it's the attitude and rudeness of this child is why I am leaving a bad review. Normally it's tolerable however this last instance was so bad I needed to leave a review. I hope they fix lil miss attitudes, demeanor. At this rate the food quality is not worth the horribly bad customer service.

I like their food. I'm still trying to find my favorite thing from here. They come to my apartment complex occasionally. I think of the things I've tried, the shrimp burrito is my favorite. Their shrimp is so plump and cooked perfectly. Perfectly cooked shrimp is like a unicorn, and they nail it!Their ordering/pick up system stresses me out. They don't give you a number or take your name, you just have to remember who was in front of you or hope they remember your face with your order. I was given the wrong order once and numbers/names could totally solve this so I don't get it!

I made the mistake of getting a steak burrito from here. I'm on day 2 with stomach pains. They say don't judge a book by it's cover, but in this case you should. The truck is dirty and grimy, the food reflects the same. If you want constant diarrhea this is the place to go. I'm not sure how they are still in business. Health inspector needs to take a closer look at this food truck.

Customer service and food could've been better. They were parked in front of our apartment building, so decided to try out their food. Their pricing for tacos said $2/taco, but after questioning the total of my food, they said $2.50/taco. Not sure if they're trying to gouge the price because the apartment complex promoted their food truck, but they need to advertise the correct pricing. I dont mind the price difference if they were upfront about it. It's the way they charged more without the customer's knowledge and handled being questioned. Very deceptive. Food was also ok. For sure a skip for me next time. Definitely better customer service and food elsewhere. Word of advice make sure to calculate the total before you order and question them if something seems off.
