Bidrage med feedbackThis is always a favorite for me. Any time I have a chance I will be there. My friends insist that I have my Birthday meals here. We have even had a live band in the private dining room. My family even loves eating here and that is quite impressive since I am vegan and my Dad insists on mostly meat cooked in a way he wants he cooked.
Greeted, seated fairly quickly. Busy Saturday dinner hour, waited approx 10 minutes for waitstaff. Drink orders placed, questions answered, appetizers ordered. The second half of our party arrived, drink orders placed shortly after seating. After at least 15 minutes, we were told the kitchen was out of coffee (at 7:30ish! and out of sweet plantains for our two appetizer sampler platters. We were offered and accepted substitutes, which were tasty enough but not what we were craving. Our dinners arrived after another 25 minutes, we were all so hungry by then, most everyone considered the food fuel! My deep fried whole snapper was so elegantly ipresented, several in our party had to take pics. It was delicious though a little dried out as the fish was a little too deeply scored before frying. The salad and beans over rice that accompanied our food were okay, and the plantain patties were on the dry, hard side. Maybe that's the way they are supposed to be? One couple in our party ordered a side dish of sweet plantains with dinner, and oddly enough, they were able to fill the order. I ordered the tembleque to go (we had already been there for two hours and when I opened the container at home, found they had packaged the coconut flan instead. No problem though, it was delicious!
Weird manager guy I guess, he never introduced himself interrupted out meal three times. First to ask something about me getting points for my open table reservation (I had already given my name to our server to let him know I made a reservation , again to ask us if we owned a particular car in the parking lot, and a third time to tell me, and my business guests, that because we split our checks that he had to do some kind of re run of my card and that it's take 24 hours and I couldn't use my passport card. Super inappropriate to interrupt us so many times. And to make a big deal out of the check thing. Really poor judgement all around. And he's the manager? (Our server and our food was great, by the way.

We had a personal meeting in the private dining room. they have 2 doors to close so that with the noise level helps. Unfortunately, they were only briefly occupied this day. our server has also trained a new rental. our plates were not removed so we put them on the other table and had to check someone down for the check. I totally understand that I am short-handed, but I felt that management might have helped to help its servers.
