Bidrage med feedbackMy husband and I decided to try this restaurant for the first time, and I must say, I was quite impressed by the decor as soon as we walked in. We were seated within five minutes, which was great. The restaurant has two dining areas and a bar, and I especially liked the large windows that offer a nice view of the beautiful landscaping outside. I ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp, which came with a bowl of rice, and it was excellent. My husband chose the Chicken Chow Mein, and he really enjoyed his meal. We definitely plan to come back again.
I used to work for the husband-and-wife team that owns this restaurant when they were located on Lugonia Avenue. They are hardworking, considerate, and truly appreciative of their staff. They always encouraged us to sit down and enjoy a meal when we closed up for the night before preparing for dinner, which was very generous of them. I worked as a dishwasher, and I can say that their food is unlike anything I've tried elsewhere; it's incredibly authentic with unique flavors and a rich variety of ingredients in each dish. The restaurant always had a steady stream of customers for both lunch and dinner, and everyone seemed genuinely happy with their meals. I'm grateful for the experience. Thank you once again!
The service was prompt, and the food was served fresh and hot. The staff members were friendly yet seemed genuinely focused on providing excellent service to their customers. The food itself was outstanding—fresh, full of flavor, and overall fantastic. If you appreciate Chinese cuisine, I highly recommend giving Rui's Shanghai Bistro a try. I've already visited twice myself and look forward to returning again. Don’t miss out!
Amazing food, but this place can get busy very fast. I am glad they moved to a much bigger place. Usually we do take out, so I have yet to dine in at there new location. I will be updating my post the next time I do dine in. Pictured is Shanghai Bistro noodles, Spicy Lamb with Bamboo shoots, shrimp tempura ?, white rice, sour apple saki, and Mongolian beef.Everything is very favorable, and the portions are shareable. We usually try different things every time.
Newer place. Limited parking. Open hall with tables and chairs. Cool vibe. Menu is extensive with lots of meat, vegetarian and vegan options. Waited 20 mins to be seated as it was busy. Not a big deal. They are on top of seating you as quickly as they can. Four stars because they seemed busy enough that they didn't keep track of the food. So we ordered several dishes and we had to keep asking for 2 of them. Their Kung pao combo covers most meat and its delicious. Honey walnut shrimp is really good. Potstickers were also really good. Noodles were delicious.
