Bidrage med feedbackI love the Thai food at this restaurant! My favorite dish is the chicken cashew nut and I also really enjoy the Singapore noodles. The appetizers, like the curry puffs and spring rolls, are delicious as well. I have been a customer here for a long time and I wouldn't go anywhere else.
We visited this restaurant on a Wednesday night to celebrate my father's 70th birthday. We were the only customers there the entire time and it took an hour and a half from our arrival (at our reserved time) for our food to be served. We even noticed the same uber eats driver making two deliveries while we waited. This establishment seems to prioritize takeout orders over dine-in customers, making it more of a takeout place rather than a traditional restaurant.
Last night, we ordered food to go and were disappointed with our experience. Both dishes were excessively salty, the mild Larb was unexpectedly spicy and lacking the ground rice, and the medium soup was unremarkable. It seems like neither dish was properly prepared before leaving the kitchen. While we were able to eat them, they were not enjoyable.
We’ve been going to the Thai Emerald for over 20 years and I must say that it has consistently produced good food, the Green Cury is our favourite but the Beef Massoman is also a good choice.
Unfortunately, the food that we bought at this Thai restaurant was extremely disappointing. The dishes we ordered like Pad Thai were unrecognisable as a dish which is my husband 's favourite. As a relative newcomer to the area we were trying to find some good quality food, reasonably priced and good value for money. We were disappointed on so many levels. Firstly the dishes were not recognisable as the same dishes we would get from other Thai restruants (not in a favourable way). I think they were over priced, service was slow for a takeaway not even ordered in peak rush time, and the containers given were only half full. Sadley, I guess we didn 't find a new 'local ' for us to go back to.
