The staff and atmosphere were excellent, but the food was just mediocre. It wasn't anything special and lacked flavor. Honestly, I wouldn't return, but I'm not upset about having gone.

The place and the ambience so great. The food was great. Loved drinks, and also cookies. Mr. Omar and the rest of the staff were really amazing, friendly and accommodating. Would you definitely come back?

This lovely landmark in beautiful Redding captivated me. I had the opportunity to speak with one of the owners, who shared the history of the building with me. It was clear that he poured his heart and soul into this establishment. I eagerly await the restaurant's reopening!

As the bride and groom, we were not provided with a tablet or any options for monitoring the event, which the coordinator explained away as her way of overseeing things. She had the audacity to claim that everything was being served properly, yet we saw little evidence of that. When my husband requested a specific hors d’oeuvre from one of the servers, he was completely ignored. We had agreed to share our payment with the staff, but the bar was set up for a custom option instead of the premium one the event coordinator had verbally promised during a conference call with the owner—only to backtrack when it came to email correspondence. The beverage server was not properly trained and lacked the knowledge to mix basic drinks or pour the right portions. We had to pay an additional fee for a "real" bartender, something that had never been mentioned beforehand. On a positive note, the actual meals were delicious, which was really the only redeeming aspect of the experience. However, don't expect to take home any leftovers, as the policy forbids it after four hours. Our meals were served between 1:30 and 2:00 PM, and by the time food was packed up at 5:30 PM, it was technically beyond that time limit, but that's beside the point. Additionally, ensure that your vendors actually receive their meals, as they may be left with empty plates. For dessert, we ordered a three-tiered cake for 63 guests and five vendors. There was an expectation to share the cake among everyone, yet we were also told it would be served. Don’t count on any traditions, like saving the top tier of the cake or taking some home, unless you specifically ask. Shockingly, not everyone was even served coffee—this included us, the bride and groom, who were once again overlooked. There were many other disappointments, but we wanted to highlight the key issues. Ultimately, we felt we did not receive the value for what we paid. Therefore, we cannot recommend this venue if you’re looking for the type of treatment that befits a bride and groom, as well as their guests.

We thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere, food, wine selection and knowledgeable waitstaff. When we dine out we want the whole positive vibe not just great food. I honestly cannot remember ever having a negative experience here. Yes, I highly recommend The Spinning Wheel . Brunch is fabulous as well.
