The Spinning Wheel - Redding

A charming landmark in beautiful redding. I had the chance to talk to one of the owners who gave me the history of the building. I realized that he brought his heart and soul into this place. I can't wait until the restaurant is opened again!

Disappoint the minimum! The terrain is beautiful and the place itself. However, they fell very short on our 5.22.22 wedding. We felt as if we had simply received all the staff who were not well trained and who reflected from the beginning to the end during our reception. We had passed 8 days, where much, if not more than half of our guests gave the feedback that they had not seen them. As a bride and bridegroom, no tablet of any option was made available for us, which the coordinator explained at her end as supervision and also had the boldness to say that she knew that everything was served when she had herself. My husband also asked one of the servers for a particular hor d?oeuvre and was ignored. You agree to share what you paid with the staff! Our bar selection was setup for the custom option instead of the premium that the event coordinator had verbally until when it was on a conference call with the owner, but then went back to her word when it was time for email correspondence and things in writing. The beverage server was not well trained and did not know the right portions for drinks or how to make basic drinks. We said we had to pay for a real one. Bartender, who was never mentioned before. The actual meals were delicious that?s the only positive I can really give, and probably their only saving grace. Don?t expect doggy bags (you can't spend them after 4 hours. Our meals were served at 1:30-2 and the reception ended at 5:30, so when the food was packed, it did not leave technically for 4 hours, but that?s next to the point) and make sure that your sellers actually eat or their meal is only taken untouched. For Dessert we had a 3-stage cake for 63 guests and 5 providers. Again, ready to share that as well as supposed to serve all our cakes. Do not expect the tradition of top animals to be saved or take some home unless you ask. Also not everyone was served coffee, including the bride and groom once again forgotten. There was also a list of other disappointments, but we wanted to touch the main points. Essentially, those who feel that we don't get what we paid. So, we would not suggest this place if you want to be treated as people of importance, such as bride and groom as well as your guests are visited.

Staff and atmosphere were great, but honestly the food was just okay. Nothing special, not very tasteful. Honestly, I wouldn't go back, but not mad that I left.

The place and the ambience so great. The food was great. Loved drinks, and also cookies. Mr. Omar and the rest of the staff were really amazing, friendly and accommodating. Would you definitely come back?

We thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere, food, wine selection and knowledgeable waitstaff. When we dine out we want the whole positive vibe not just great food. I honestly cannot remember ever having a negative experience here. Yes, I highly recommend The Spinning Wheel . Brunch is fabulous as well.
