The Parkview Cafe - Redding

ASTONISHING VALUE: Order a generously made sandwich for $5, get chips AND a can of soda for another dollar. My salami sandwich had more meat than I would use to make TWO sandwiches, honestly. Oh, and mainstream selection of candy bars chips for 75 cents. What a value!

Food was terrible very plain and not much to choose from

Wow. Thanks for making this place affordable! This place is incredibly important for our community! Thank you for serving our community! Personally I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have this place as a kid and when I went to college. Now that I have my BA I still love to come here on my break before my MA.

Sandwich great. Location unbelievable. This little sandwich place is on the left side of Redding Library lobby. It is a location bereft with homeless people. They seemed friendly enough but troubled. The people working in the deli seemed helpful but it seems like a re entry program. I like letting our disabled population have dignified positions but there needs to be patient backup. There is no menu, so it's not clear what they sell. Except looking around. They may or may not sell snowcones. One person said yes, one person said no. The seating is uncomfortable.

My Husband tried to get a sandwich, but the girl behind the counter was on her phone and would not acknowledge him. I went down later to try to get a sandwich, at 2PM, she would not take my order as she was closing. The library website clearly states that it should be open until 4PM. I am not pleased.
