Bidrage med feedbackWe have had the seafood buffet hear before and were really impressed with the quality and service. We went for dinner on Tuesday night and it was so quiet there. The meals were good, we had the specials, Lamb Shank with baked potato, vegies and Roast Chicken with potato bake and cauliflower bake. Can't complain about the meals, very tasty and enjoyable. The staff were friendly and accommodating except for one. There is always one that has to spoil a night out. If you can't be friendly GO AWAY! The lady at the café was much better and the coffee was very nice. You can watch the teams train on the field below the café. Justin Hodges was there this night giving some tips to the young players. Did I mention it was quiet.
Do not eat here unless you you want to waste your money. We rung up to which the lady said there was Kirkpatrick oysters and Moreton bay bug when we arrived there was absolutely nothing of the sort!!!! 55 dollars and all they had was prawns and roast meat, half the food wasn't out and they weren't bringing anymore out either this was at 7:30. The best part was the chocolate fountain, but they had absolutely nothing to dip into it ?!?! This was beyond a joke. Even after our dinner still feeling hungry we moved onto desert only to discover that they were all out of most of the deserts aswell. How can a buffet run out of most of there food? I'm not hard to please when it comes to food, but I can honestly say this was the worst restaurant ive ever been too!
Excellent value for money! Great food with lots of choices, attentive friendly staff, well managed and good service when booking over the phone. Although the queue for the buffet were long, if you timed it right the wait was not too bad. Perhaps an attendant directing patrons to the second and third serving areas (it seemed like everyone was waiting at the first one, and then had little room left on their plate for bays 2 & 3) would help to alleviate the wait times. All in all a lovely lunch outing.
We had dinner at the Bistro and ordered the parmigiana, which was on special that night, but we did not order the special, as we really felt like something a little more, so ordered Parmi off the menu with garlic prawns. We expected that the garlic prawns were to come out on top of the parmi, like a reef and beef, but when the food came out, not a prawn to be seen. We asked the waitress about the prawns, she could not find any on our plate either, so she went to ask the chef. Apparently, the prawns were chopped up very finely in the béchamel like sauce, no garlic flavour, all in all the worst Parmi ever. My husbands was dry and burnt on the edges, just an awful meal. However we must say that our waitress Amy was fantastic, she offered us more food, or a complimentary drink on the house. Amy also was not aware of how this "garlic prawn" Parmi was served. Very disappointed!!
As Broncos members, we have eaten at both the restaurant and cafe on many occasions and have never left feeling disappointed. Unfortunately, that all changed today. The buffet restaurant is now a bistro, which would be great if the food was better. We booked for Sunday lunch as we assumed it would be crowded but we were very wrong. Nobody even acknowledged us when we walked in and we had to wander around and find our own table. The food wasn't bad but the standards have certainly dropped. The club itself was quite, as was the bistro, bar and coffee shop. I used to be proud to be a member of the Broncos but today was underwhelming.
