Bidrage med feedbackI came upon this place by chance and am glad I did. Very cool boutique, with lots of very interesting high-end artisanal gifts and natural products. In addition to the cute coffee bar on the main floor, they have a bistro restaurant upstairs. The shop is also home to an art gallery. Lovely place to go enjoy good music and a cappuccino while browsing for the perfect gift.
Took advantage of the Thursday night Dinner Club menu which was excellent. Enjoyed a set menu and each course was really tasty and quite unique. The salmon was beautifully cooked. Enjoyed fresh ingredients and interesting flavours.
We come here often for a casual but classy lunch. Food is great! We haven't tried supper here yet, but we hear it is wonderful. We love browsing the artwork and doing a little shopping for unique housewares and gourmet kitchen items and foods.
While visiting Red Deer I made it a point to try a different cafe each day. The Coconut Room was our first stop and our favourite stop! Although they don't have "brewed" coffee, they serve a good variety of coffee drinks and we ordered the Americano which was piping hot (a very good thing) and delicious. We also ordered a nice green salad with salmon which was very satisfying. Their scones looked too good to pass up and did not disappoint either! Our favourite thing about this restaurant was the unique layout. It could be romantic or casual but either way it is cozy, uniquely decorated and comfortable. We were lucky enough to get seating in the back "booth" which feels like it's own little room. What a fun way to start our Red Deer vacation. I would go back for sure, mostly for food and coffee.
This little restaurant never disappoints! Their daily specials are delicious as are their regular items. The portions are large and the service is great. The restaurant, which has recently been redecorated, is warm and inviting. Be sure to check out the ecclectic Sunworks store in the main floor.
