Bidrage med feedbackLet me just say how amazing the personal is. dublin was the one out of place, we need more places like this. so warm and a great place to watch sport, but also enjoy time with friends. the personal moves quickly and the live music is great! many sports! Bar staff is great! are back soon?!
The Dublin house is in walking distance from our home so we figure we would give it a try when we first moved in last year. Our first visit was just OK. The service was OK and the food was nothing spectacular. I got the fish and chips which had barely any flavor in the batter of the fish. My mother got the shepherds pie and she said that was pretty good. My husband got the chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich and it was OK as well. If you are an Irish pub, one thing that should be on point is your fish and chips! My husband and I gave it another shot and went for dinner about six months ago. He got the chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich again and I tried the HoneyDipped chicken. The chicken was crispy and Flavorful but was missing the HoneyDipped part. Kind of the whole point of me getting this meal. We had family down last weekend and thought we would try it one more time. My sister-in-law and I both got burgers, my husband got the Caesar salad, and my brother-in-law got the Reuben. The service was awful and the food was even worse. It took us almost a half an hour just to get our waters and drinks. The restaurant was not that busy on a Sunday early lunch. Both my sister-in-law and I burgers were overdone and hard. You can tell they were frozen patties and not fresh beef made to order. We asked for sides with our burgers, and they did not come with the meals. We then waited between 10 and 15 minutes for them to bring out the sides, which at this point the burgers were cold. My brother-in-law's reuben was very dry and had no dressing on it. The Caesar salad was just ok. We will never try this place again. Between the service being bad and the food always being bad, it's just not worth the try. If we could have stopped people from going in there to waste their time we would have.
We had a brunch event for the morning after our wedding and we were given the whole upstairs area which made it feel private. We totally underestimated the number of people that would be coming and Manager Sam and Exec Chef Conner and our bartender Lauren took it in stride. I had to tell them to stop bringing food there was so much! They even threw in a special touch with home made chocolates that was not included on our menu. The presentation was amazing and the food tasted even better. Huge thank you to Dublin House for closing out our big weekend in the perfect way.
The high technology high school (lincroft nj) class of 2002 had just seen our 20-year-old in dublin house, and I was the one who managed it; I will return to dublin house, both on my own and probably for future meetings and events we host. the party was a great success, and the collaboration with the manager sam was effortless. the price was quite reasonable, and the four-apptizer package that we figure out to be more than enough food for all! we are all looking forward to our 25-year old dublin house in 2027, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal or place to have a casual yet funny event!
The dublin house is our goal! we held a meeting on the top floor a few months ago and our guests are still there. sam helped us coordinate everything and she was so great to work with her. eating the bartenders and the atmosphere are always great. we love it so much that we host another event in a few weeks. sam helped us with all the details and we look forward to it. the dublin house is the best!
