The And Grill - Reading

I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I ordered three chicken Shish kebabs, but they were overcooked and the meat was extremely dry. The server did not speak English well, leading to poor communication. Additionally, I observed the man cooking the kebabs taking four chunks of meat off our skewers and holding them back, claiming they were not cooked enough. When I insisted on taking them anyway, he pretended not to understand me. It was clear that he intended to use those pieces for a smaller chicken Shish that another customer had just ordered. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

I ordered takeout with my family, including a chicken shish and kofte kebab. The amount of grease on the food was excessive, to the point where I felt like I could use it for my hair. I immediately became sick and couldn't properly digest the food. My partner and father had doner kebab meat that was cold and dry. This caused me to vomit, and I believe I experienced food poisoning. Thankfully, I was able to receive a full refund, but I was concerned that the staff serving me were not wearing gloves or hairnets, and didn't seem to be practicing proper hygiene. My partner, who has worked in the food industry for years, also noted that the food didn't seem right. Additionally, the side dishes appeared to be unclean, with visible debris that could potentially cause illness through cross-contamination. None of the food in the refrigerators was properly dated, leaving uncertain how long it had been sitting there.

The food was all fresh and still nice and hot, scoring a 7 out of 10.

Only complaint online states cheese on burger's but they never come with cheese other than that great food.

We frequently order from Turkish Grill as the food is really good, generous portions and always quick too. We got a free potato salad as we are regulars. Thanks guys!
