Pizza Express - Reading

Myself and my niece went to pizza express on 10th August 2015. It was very quite evening. Manager was very friendly, shame about the rest of the staff! The service was extremely slow. Foods was bland and chicken taste old as if it was reheated from yesterday. Worse service ever! would never go again!! We were left extremely disappointed! Stick to pizza hut...

Went there because I have been given a £50 pizza express voucher. I asked a lady at the door if this can be used here. She was like shocked, said never seen this voucher before, she asked total of four employees, none of them were sure, took at least 10 min and I was being looked like a beggar or something... The lady was also rude! In the end I ordered a margarita pizza, it took 30 min to come and the amount of cheese on it was like 1or 2 gram. Just a tomato sauce and bread? So after when I asked the receipt, a guy tried the voucher on his machine and it worked! How come no one in this shop not aware of any vouchers? Why the rude attitude against people with vouchers? Really it was a very disappointed experience.

This restaurant is part of a popular chain that offers delicious pizza and other similar dishes at a reasonable price. It's conveniently located near bars, attractions, and the railway station, making it a convenient choice for a meal out. The restaurant is spacious enough to maintain a pleasant atmosphere, and the service is excellent. I was pleased to see that the Calzone has been added back to the menu - it was delicious! Overall, a visit to this restaurant is definitely worth it if you enjoy this type of food.

The staff was very polite, our server was a little slow to take our order and the table was not set when we are there. They apologized that student rebate was not valid in December, which was annoying, but they were kind about it. I had a Sharing-Platter-Starter as my main who had chicken wings, Calamari and dough balls - great alternative to pizza. Strawberry limonade was nice, but quite expensive for what it was.
