Persian Palace (reading)

I recently had a wonderful experience at the Persian Palace, a place I had wanted to visit for a while. Although there’s been a location in London for 15 years, this Reading branch is relatively new, having opened almost a year ago. Most tables offer a lovely view of the river, which enhances the dining experience. The service was incredibly prompt; our drinks arrived almost immediately, followed by the food shortly after. We ordered the lamb chops, which the house is known for, and they did not disappoint. Cooked to perfection, the meat was so tender that it practically fell off the bone. It was delicious, though the portion size was quite large—I couldn't finish the entire dish. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Thank you!

The food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend going back. The portions are quite generous, making it an excellent choice for those with a big appetite. The restaurant was quiet around 6 PM, but by 8 PM, it was nearly full. The atmosphere was fantastic—I truly felt like I was on vacation! It's also a great spot for large parties, as sharing dishes seems to be the way to go. It would be ideal to have the option to order small plates to sample a variety of styles. We started with the eggplant and chicken dishes, both of which were outstanding. We then enjoyed a main course of chicken and lamb skewers served with rice. We were so full by that point that we couldn’t manage to try any desserts. I can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu!

I absolutely love this place! It was my first time trying Persian food, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The portion sizes are generous, and there is a great variety on the menu at reasonable prices. The staff is also very friendly. Highly recommend!

Brilliant restaurant. The food is so delicious and servings are crazy big! As a person who loves lamb juices, this was one of the best I had in terms of properly cooked and delicious. Also the view from the restaurant is very beautiful. Very recommended if you are in Reading!

The view of the River Thames is magnificent while dining in The Persian Palace, it feels like you are actually on holiday! The food, service and ambiance is brilliant. Everything is served to perfection and the menu caters for all. A perfect venue to experience amazing Persian food as well everything put together to make you feel you are in Persia. We really enjoyed our experience and highly recommend this restaurant. 5 stars all the way. Thank you to the amazing staff who looked after us from the time we were seated to the time we left. I will definitely be going again.
