Pentalounge - Reading

The food at this restaurant is very enjoyable and the service is excellent. However, the drinks are a bit pricey.

We had no issues with our meal at Caversham, but we believe the wine list was superior (and a great deal) before Penta Hotel took charge.

The food at Caversham is somewhat underwhelming considering the price. While nicely presented, the only standout dish was the excellent steak. The mushroom and brie tart starter was served cold, leaving us unsure if it was intentional. The soup and vegetarian main were both bland, with a questionable meaty or fishy taste in parts. Overall, the food was just okay and nothing particularly stood out, except for the exceptional steak which was worth the extra cost.

Very nice eating and good service. but drink quite expensive.
