Bidrage med feedbackWe booked a table for on Saturday night. We were shown to our table by one waitress and then told we shouldn't be seated there by another member of staff. The table was unlaid and we waited over minutes for someone to take our drinks order. When they finally arrived, two of the drinks were wrong and my daughter's wine was missing! Several drinks we did not order were also brought to our table afterwards. We asked for some prawn crackers to nibble on as we'd already been waiting for so long. A gentleman waiter advised us they do not serve them whilst at the same time a waitress delivered a bowl of crackers and dip to our table! We opted for the set menu for but had to ask specifically, as only the full menus were presented to us. The starters were fine but the rest of the meal was very sparse. Only enough pancakes for exactly one each and very little meat in the main dishes. We loved this restaurant when it was Furama but will never eat there again now.
That is phenomenal eating and a great price. All that they eat freshly cooked is under £20 and includes all good things. the employees are a bit busy, but are polite and professional and attentive. it is much better to eat than to take away, as it is more expensive and not so good after delivery.
My friend comes from chengdu in the province of Sichuan. the dishes we ordered were very representative for the region and give western like me a look at their culinary world. far better than cantonese typical restaurant and dishes to take with. the dishes were not completely authentic, but was a nice tasting experience never less.
The remembrance of sichuan is a Chinese restaurant served in the city of reading, the traditional main dishes and hotpot. her net is quite authentic, with a particularly good value weekday lunchtime menu deal, but in this week we went for her hotpot and was blown away from it. there are £22 per person for unlimited buffet (order 8 items at a time, we ordered 3 times . the main thing I loved was the variety of offers on their hotpot menu available. start with the selection of their suppen base: smooth, sharp (3 flat, pickled veg, or lamb bone suppen base. they can halve each of the suppen bases, except the lamb leg soup. we went for a half flat, half lightly spicy. beside the normal thin meat slices, they had unlimited meat products, seafood, vegetables, tofu/vermicelli and even rice/noodles/pumps! their portion sizes are huge, we have made the mistake of ordering both bark and lamb slices and that was enough meat for the whole meal, we wanted more meeresfruit. the fish, peeled garnel and tinted fish were all fantastic and although they don't want to fill on carbs, the fact is that they have Udon/Nudels/ho Fun/Fritten reis free, something I haven't seen before a hotpot buffet. I must say that their homemade la mian stretched noodles were fantastic to finish, and the noodles were also quite good. some detractors were that the hotpot burner was not very fast and they fill it quite deep, so the pot shimmers instead of cooked. twice they forgot our Enoki-Pilz orders (or did they run out, but did not tell us?) and sometimes they run from Sesam-Papier-Dip on the side, but they can only ask to fill them. but all in all it is my favorite hotpot place in Britain, and I was in london. some other hotpot options in reading include the imperial kitchen at genting casino and kung fu kitchen, but I would be surprised if they could be better. £22 for such a lot of unlimited hotpot offers is an incredible deal, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a warm hearty eating this winter!
Eating is very tasty, but I would give the service 4 stars as it is not at the level of cooking.
