Lockey Farm Coffee Shop - Reading

So a beautiful little place, a park, small farm, kissen trampoline, caffe and metzgerei farmerhof business. we spent the morning here with our small child and had a nice breakfast in caffe. very recommended.

Great butchery and farm shop. In particular the butcher's have great expertise on how best to cook the wide variety of meats and cuts. We go especially for the oxtail.

We picked up our first big bird for Christmas. Shop looks well utilised but due to C-19 we rushed out asap. Will visit soon again.

Excellent farm shop, full of fresh produce, good service

Lockey Farm is a great village butcher in the Arborfield Cross area. They have a good selection of grass fed beef, pork, chicken from their farm on the property (you may see a chicken or three wandering the car park), local cheeses and other local goods. I have only minor criticisms I really wish they sold a better range of animal products. It would be a fantastic opportunity for them if they were to carry, for example, grain finished beef such as U.S.D.A or even Wagyu at the top end, high quality pork such as Iberian Black pigs or even chickens that are fed alternative meals, such as corn or acorn fed. With their prices it is clear they are aiming for the high end of meat eaters, and it would be fantastic to have the ability to purchase higher quality meats on occasion.
