Mandarin Wok - Reading

The food at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. The place was empty, and everything we tried tasted flavorless or stale. I do not recommend dining here.

I honestly wanted to give a 4.5 but Google wouldn't let me. The place is calm and quiet, and the staff are fantastic! Only issue is that occasionally the food [primarily appetizers] can be stale. Not sure if that is a personnel or a day-of-week problem, but it's pretty infrequent. We swapped here from Best China awhile back and like it a lot. Next time we'll prob do Best China to compare again. Update then if I remember! :

I don't usually write reviews, but this Chinese restaurant was the worst I've ever been to. The pork fried rice was dry and tasted like it had been reheated. The shrimp lo mein was somewhat edible, but the shrimp didn't taste great. The shrimp egg roll seemed like it had been fried multiple times. I will not be returning. The price for the lunch special was decent.

We have been ordering from Mandarin Wok for a couple of years now, and our experience with them has been inconsistent. However, on our most recent order, the food was good. Unfortunately, while we were eating, my husband discovered a cockroach in his rice. We contacted the restaurant, and they asked us to send a picture and then pack up the food for them to pick up. We had ordered through the Beyond Menu app, so Mandarin Wok canceled the order for us. Luckily, we received a refund since Beyond Menu had not processed the payment yet. It's disappointing that this happened, and we hope that Mandarin Wok can improve their cleanliness standards for future customers. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to eat there again.

I ordered delivery,jumbo basil shrimp,crab Rangoon and everything was delicious, lots of big ,juicy shrimp,delivered ontime.
