Bidrage med feedbackI came here with my 5 year old son for a dada date . I ordered the burger with plymouth blue cheese and bacon. It was amazing and perfectly cooked. My son ordered the pizza off of the kids menu and loved it. The Waitress was really nice and let us know before we ordered that the kitchen was backed up. It 's nice to know that ahead of time to set expectations.
A small group of friends stayed at the Woodstock Inn and were in search of a classic New England dining experience this past Saturday night. They recommended Keepers, which is about a 10-minute drive from town. The restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a chilly evening. We started with a local artisanal cheese plate, which was fantastic. My husband ordered mussels along with a salad, while I enjoyed a perfectly broiled cod served with au gratin potatoes—absolutely delicious! Our friends opted for the cheeseburger and lamb chops. The menu, though somewhat limited, offered enough variety to make choosing difficult. We also shared a French onion soup, and it was just incredible. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert, which was a shame because I saw several dishes pass by our table that looked amazing. Maybe next time!
We absolutely love Keeper's! Every time I order the Angus steak, it’s cooked to perfection and complemented by a savory sauce that brings out its flavor beautifully. The menu, featuring seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, is fantastic. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic dinner for two or for engaging conversations with friends. And don't miss the house salad with local blue cheese crumbles—it's incredibly fresh and delicious!
When we left, I explained why we left a small tip, but to my dismay, I later discovered that the waitress had charged an extra $10 to my bill. When I tried to discuss this with the owner, they interrupted me, cursed at me, and told me to "write a review if I wanted to." They defended the poor service we experienced rather than addressing our concerns. I strongly advise against dining here unless you're okay with bad service and the risk of being overcharged. Sure, it’s a charming small-town restaurant, but there are many others in Vermont that are far better.
What a delight to discover this fantastic restaurant right here in town! Steering clear of the crowds in Ludlow and Woodstock, this charming spot offers amazing food in a warm, inviting atmosphere that’s pleasantly quiet and beautifully decorated. We had heard rave reviews about the burgers and they certainly lived up to the hype. The burgers are huge, made from perfectly cooked, grass-fed beef, accompanied by clearly hand-cut fries. The fresh lettuce leaves (I believe they were butter lettuce), ripe tomatoes, and red onions were just what we needed. You can choose from an array of toppings including cheese, bacon, and mushrooms. It truly doesn’t get better than this! The menu also features steak, chicken, shrimp, pasta, salads, and more. I can’t wait to try the Tempura lobster tail sandwich next time! People come from far and wide to eat here—ours was the only car in the parking lot with Vermont plates! I absolutely love this place!
