The food was hot and incredibly fresh. It was soul food that truly fed my soul! The staff was welcoming, treating us like we'd come to their home for a meal.

Worth the drive from Edisto Island Fantastic food and service. This will be one of our regular stops while staying in Edisto.

I passed this place many times on the way to Charleston. It hard to see going north on 17 as it is behind a car wash and dollar store. Make the effort to find this spot. We were greeted by a warm and friendly owner who gave us great advice on our choices. My wife had the fried shrimp and oysters /2 sides and I had meat of the day(pork chop)/2 sides. Both meals came out steaming hot. Shrimp, oysters and pork chop were done to perfection. The cornbread was the best I have had in a while. Mine came with lima beans and rice. Out of this world. Don't miss this good home cooking. We will have to return since we were too full to have the cherry pie.

This is a very special place with delicious food and amazing people. Can't wait to go back and get the #11 eggs and rice again!
