Li'l Darlin - Randwick

Best cocktails, tasty tapas, cool music. What's not to love? Seats indoors and outdoors, and staff are about average for eastern suburbs. Fun for a girls night or a date.

Had a great dinner here with my family when I was visiting from overseas. Very accommodating for such a large group. Great food with gluten free options too. Lovely atmosphere and decor!

We love the concept at Lil Darlin with their plants and vines running along the ceiling and on the side of the walls. We have visited the surryhills location and loved it, very good vibes and great music. Unfortunately we found that the Randwick location is more of an eatery where you can share a pizza or a mezze plate and have a cocktail or two. It is quite relaxing inside and the brownie swirls are absolutely delicious. Unfortunately they do close round 10pm and dont have as much of a party vibe as the other locations. Nevertheless still a good and not too expensive night out, just be sure to have a next spot set up if you’re planning for a late night out.

Ordered the Margarita Pizza - normally $20, but was a special for $12 tonight. It was pretty good. Not a traditional pizza, but a flatbread pizza. For $12, I'm happy. Would not pay $20 for it. Restaurant has a good location in the center of Randwick with lots of people-watching.

I have visited Lil Darlin in Darlinghurst and Surry Hills on many occasions over the years. Tonight, Saturday 11/02/2017 my boyfriend and I stopped into Lil Darlin at Randwick after a movie, because I had raved so much about the cocktails. From the minute we entered we we're faced with staff with terrible attitude. My boyfriend went up to the counter to order and was told to take a seat and they'd be around to take our order. Ten minutes later, someone finally came to take our order. After a 30 minute wait, we were asked if we'd like to order another drink because their bar was about to close. I informed the waiter that our first drinks hadn't arrived yet and he acknowledged that but still seem surprised we didn't want an additional round. Finally, 40 minutes after we ordered, our drinks arrived and right away my expectations were low as my cocktail of choice the 'fairy floss martini' arrived looking limp and watery. I have had this cocktail many times but tonight I was severely disappointed, the fairy floss was disgusting and the cocktail was atrocious, I literally had 2 sips and left it on the table. My boyfriends 'hobo martini' was nothing to complain about, but definitely not worth the unacceptable wait. For a popular bar to only have 3 staff members on (only one working behind the bar) on a busy Saturday night is a disgrace. As someone who worked in hospitality for 4 years I'm so disappointed with the terrible service and will not be returning to any of the Lil Darlin stores and would reccomend others to avoid it at all costs.
