Mr And Mrs Idly - Ranchi

Hi guys..last week I had a party with my office group of 15 pax at this awesome outlet and I was surprised to see the bills..it was almost half what I spent at other similar restaurants.We had Chinese starter..a variety of south indian dishes..cold drinks..filter coffee..ice gola and more..I can bet you will never get such an authentic southindian taste with quality at this price anywhere in Ranchi..just try once.

It's a small outlet. Though it has not gained popularity, if you re from South India and are dying for hot hot idlis and dosas, this is the place! The mini idlis and the sambar taste as if they are from south India. Though the ambience is okay, the quality stands out. The dosa wraps are okayish but would suggest for idlis which is their speciality. The kanchivaram idlis are not that great.

I am regular visitor of this. I find it as a authentic chennai taste.  I heared 'Poddi' items are their signature items and it was like as i imagined. 'Rasam' is Woooow..!! Nice, cool ambeince and good taste makes it differnet from others. Idly Manchurian I think is its best item... moreover; never forget to have a filter coffee ... Chinease section is good and nice flavoured especially Paneer chilly - Dry/ Gravy; I tasted thrice.. all the time was awsome.... ;)

A nice fervour attached to the restaurant. Catchy name and nice cosy atmosphere. Finding the place is a little difficult. Tried their corn capsicum uttapam which was good in taste and classy in appearance. Sambar vada was awesome, the Sambar in particular tickled my tongue even when I ain't a Sambar lover. The cheese capsicum Dosa is something you shouldn't miss if you're a Dosa lover. Their idly manchurian is a nice concept and good, taste wise. However, the waiting time for this dish was half an hour and the Idlis were too hard. The dish, overall was quite spicy. They are pretty miser when it comes to chutneys, which is the life of a south Indian dish. Be more generous guys. Pocket friendly and average service. Though, still can't believe I chose them for my 50th review.

I am now a frequent visitor of this place. Because of two reasons: 1. Great food 2. Pocket friendly This visit we had Corn capsicum uthapam which was was really good. Also, we had tea which was served with a sound indian touch.
