Varka Fishhouse - Ramsey

Food was excellent as always….our almond crusted Dover sole is truly mouth watering and we always look forward to it. Can’t wait for our next visit to Varka all the way from Englewood!

Varka has always been a favorite so we introduced friends who, like us, fell in love with the restaurant. Food was delicious and we sat for hours, enjoying the ambiance, the Greek background music, and the hospitatlity

I HAVE BEEN TO THIS RESTAURANT MANY TIMES OVER THE YEARS. EVERY TIME I GO IT IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN BEFORE. THE PORTIONS ARE SMALLER AND THE PRICES ARE UP. BROUGHT MY OWN BOTTLE AND WAS CHARGED 50 CORKAGE. LAST TIME THERE WAS 35.. I ASKED SERVER. HE SNARKLY RESPONDED BLAME BIDEN THAT WAS AFTER HE BROKE THE CORK. I AM NOT POOR , BUT I FEEL THE VALUE IS JUST NOT THERE FOR ME, I ALSO HAVE TO TRAVEL 50 MIN TO GET THERE. ITS IN A WEALTHY AREA AND THERE ARE PLENTY OF PEOPLE WHO WIL PAY THE FREIGHT.. I WILL NO LONGER. TO BAD AS THERE ARE CERTAIN THINGS I REALLY LIKE THERE.

The lobster gyros beets and octopus were fabulous and plenty to make a meal.
