Yellow Dog Bread Company - Raleigh

Kind of disappointing given the number of excellent bakeries in this area. I was hoping for more savory baked good options but it seemed to be mostly sweets. Everything was cold and not very good cold. We even went pretty early in the morning, I would have expected things to taste more fresh. Some things like the sticky bun were much better when I took them home and warmed them up but even then it was still lackluster. The pimento cheese croissant was very dense and not flaky and didn’t have any cheese flavor or traces of cheese inside at all. The other baked goods were pretty dry.

This is around a 5 minute walk from where I stay so it's super convenient. Everyone I know raves about this place. I've had their sticky bun which is huge and really good. I will definitely be going back to try their other pastries since they are so close to me.

Delicious welcoming! The staff member who helped us had the perfect recommendations – I can’t praise the focaccia enough! We also thoroughly enjoyed our chocolate chip scone lattes. I believe the listing may be misleading, though, as there is no wifi here (perhaps due to no indoor seating I assume due to covid? . That wasn’t a huge issue for me, but I figured I’d lend a heads up!

Jan 2022 Their vegetable focaccia bread is delicious. June 2021 Yellow dog bread company had provided delicious mini scones, thyme lemonade and cold brew for the Raleigh City farm weekend volunteer event on Saturday. I had the chance to try the cheddar and rosemary scone was just delicious, perfectly moist and not dry.. I also tried a little bit of the thyme lemonade and that was amazing too. Feb 2021 I've tried their focaccia veggie bread and I enjoyed that as well.. Thank you for the awesome food. You're amazing!
