Vivo - Raleigh

We booked Vivo for a rehearsal dinner for 14-16 people in the private room several months prior to the event. The day of the event, I called and confirmed that party and the private room and the hostess advised all was confirmed. I received a call back 20 minutes later from the hostess advising there was a party in the back and we wouldn’t be in the private room. I asked to speak with the manager as the person that had called me back was the hostess. The manager then got on the line confirmed that there was another party in the private room and there was nothing they could do as the person who booked it for them no longer working there (Tom). We had dined there the week that we had booked the reservation and was shown the back room. The manager apologized over the phone and said we would receive free bottles of wine for the inconvenience and that he was so sorry (Nolan). We showed up to the restaurant and had an L-shaped table so people’s back were to each other. The manager, although he said him and the general manager were working, never came over and apologized. We were very disappointed with the lack of customer service recovery especially once we got to the restaurant. There was one bottle of wine on the table that the server said was for us although the manager said he was giving us bottles (plural) of wine. A manager never came over and spoke with us or apologized for the inconvenience. We were so excited for our special day and felt like it was clouded by this restaurant and there was no responsibly taken. The least VIvo could have done was apologized for the incident in person as we were kind and understanding of the incident but we never received this. Be cautious booking an event as it appears responsibility and confirmations are not a priority.

We had an absolutely fabulous time AND meal during our first visit yesterday. Thanks to Austin and Steph for superb service and all the yummy food. You did not miss a beat! We will return for sure whenever we find ourselves nearby! Ciao!

Food was served hot and fresh. Pictured is the chicken parmigiana. So delicious!!! I definitely recommend this place!

Excellent! Shrimp appetizer on risotto cake was phenomenal!
