Bidrage med feedbackThe ambience is garbage, but the food is fantastic. Instead of calling yourself wild, raised South food and then go to not ice tea on the menu. (Even...)
Food: 3 Decor: 3 Service: 3 Been here at least 3-4 times in 2014, as my hotel is only one block away. Overall, the food was quite average and not especially...
I understand the role that pools played in the revitalization of the Raleigh Food scene, but my experience was unnoticed and underwhelming. I had a reservation...
My fiancé and I were brought here by some friends that said we had to try this place while visiting NC and they were so right. We started with the pimento cheese with fried saltines, caramelized onion tart with bacon and Gruyère, and Macaroni au gratin. All of these dishes were equally delicious and I would recommend trying all of them, as it would be hard to pick one of them over the others. For entrees, we ordered the rabbit, short ribs and chicken and those were all 5 star as well. The rabbit had great texture and interesting noodle topped with carrot shreds that added a nice touch. The short ribs were tender and fell apart as you paired it with the Swiss chard and sauce. The chicken was extremely flavorful as well and fell off the bone and was served over a bed of mashed potatoes. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the items listed in this review. The restaurant had a great ambiance as well with a cozy diner feel to it. We had a late reservation on Friday night (9pm) and the place was still surprisingly busy, I would recommend getting a reservation. The plates are rich in flavor and expensive, but totally worth the price for the quality that you get. This place is a must try if coming to NC.
Delicious! I've never had anything bad here. Last time I went, I had the pork cheeks which were divine, the asparagus which was to die for, and the Mac and cheese which is legendary. We started off with pimento cheese and fried saltines sounds weird but was so yummy and addictive! Service was great too!
