Bidrage med feedbackI went to Fox and Hound at North Hills on a Saturday night and the service was HORRIBLE! I completely understand that places including Fox and Hound is short staffed. What I don’t understand is how my party comes in and numerous parties after us get served before us. I don’t want to say it was a race issue but another table next to us also appeared to have the same issue as us. So you come to the conclusion. Me and my friend came in and was seated. A server then came and sat 2 waters down for us and said our server will be with us shortly. 20 minutes later no one had asked for our orders. Meanwhile another gentleman(white) was seated and his whole table got waters when all his party wasn’t even seated. Meanwhile the rest of my party had come in and they still hadn’t even got water nor had our server came over to take our order. Why bring water to a table where people haven’t even sat down yet, meanwhile people are actually there and you don’t bring them water nor take their order. Finally someone did come by and say they had an issue with their servers and he did apologize. So I’m thinking cool he’s going to make up. I was wrong. It took another 20+ minutes to get our drinks. Our drinks come out. My sis got a rum and coke that tasted like watered down coke. I got a crown apple Moscow mule that tasted like watered down ginger beer. My other sis got that as well and she also said it tasted liked just ginger beer. My bro did get a burger and he did say it was good. I would never go back. Again I understand places are short staffed but the service was terrible and nothing was really done to make up for the terrible drinks and terrible service.
Tried to go in last night for some drinks with some friends around midnight, but the hostess was incredibly rude to us and said they would refuse to serve us if we wanted to grab drinks from the bar and have a seat at the outdoor patio, seeing as how they weren't seating anyone indoors. When the hostess shows unprovoked attitude at guests as soon they walk in, it really reflects poorly on the entire restaurant. We happily took our business elsewhere.
This restaurant is actually part of the Fox and Hound restaurant next door. The nashville hot chicken sandwich is the blandest, driest chicken sandwich I've had in years. Not even mildly hot. Compared to an actual hot chicken sandwich in Tennessee this is a shameful imitation. The Chik-fil-a spicy chicken sandwich is hotter and cheaper. Avoid.
We decided to stop in on a Saturday, Fox Hound was but crowded and we were seated immediately.Staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive.Food was okay. It was served quickly and arrived at the table hot, as expected. It looked much better than it tasted. I ordered The Dilemma, a chicken breast with cheddar cheese, bacon, and a fried egg. It had an odd flavor, maybe it was the maple miso butter. Whatever it was, it took away from the sandwich. I did get the tater tots and that was a nice change from fries. My son got the chicken wings. One of them was a little larger and definitely undercooked. We told it server and he offered to bring more. Of course something like that will chase away any appetite you have. We told him we didn't want any more but to let the kitchen know so they can make sure to thoroughly cook the wings.Overall, not a bad experience.
Ordered takeout, it took over an hour. Every single item we got was cold and dry. The flavors of the food were decent so I feel it would be much better if I had a dine-in experience, but reading the reviews I’m not so sure of that either. I ordered the mini chicken sandwiches and this is the “coleslaw” that came on my sandwiches. yes. it was like this in all of them. and that one pickle butt was the only pickle that came on any of my sandwiches. Also- chicken was dry as well. I dont expect a lot from ordering take out but this was a little excessive in disappointment.
