Tonsai - Railay Beach, Ao Nang

After a few weeks travel in Thailand, this restaurant claims one of our top spots regarding Thai food. we went twice because all the dishes were so delicious, while the prices are absolutely reasonable. even if a bit outside the main area, this place is a must-go when it is around!

Tonsai was unbelievable. The flavours were outstanding, authentic, and masterfully prepared. Every dish ordered was beautifully executed, both in presentation and flavour. The red curry and pad Thai are a must try! Very affordable and great portion size. This place is an amazing example of authentic Thai cuisine.

Delicious, authentic and affordable! We had the tempura vegetable, yellow noodles, pad Thai, Penang curry with shrimp, and much more. The staff are so lovely and we liked it so much the first time that we came again the next night! If you’re willing to stray away from the beach I would definitely recommend Tonsai restaurant.

Definitely a hidden gem in this area! I've been here for the past five days and this is the most authentic Thai food I've tried. Much cheaper compare to other restaurants in Aonang street. Their tom yam goong with shrimp looks plain but it tastes so good!

Homely authentic Thai food. Off the beaten track. Need transport to get here. Friendly service. Affordable. Notable dishes would be the beef massaman, garlic fried squid fried pork. Love the shacks. Cosy.
