Nommu - Quezon City

Recommended Japanese restaurant. The dishes are affordable and the serving size is big for the price. We ordered beef tappanyaki (320), kani salad (220), nommu roll (270), spicy salmon (235), beef salpacao (320). Try these dishes. We liked them a lot. Don't order their chili mabu tofu ramen (275). The pork was mostly fat.

They served FROZEN salmon sashimi. Like sliced fish ice pops. Why?????? The jurassic roll was so sweet it was like desseet. Miso soup was tasteless. How can miso soup be so bad? And the staff :( that's another story.

I've wanted to try nommu ever since a friend told me about them. But I always save a food spot to try on sundays for our weekly family get together. I was happy that it was not a disappointment. We had a great time actually. I can tell my mom and her sisters (my titas) also enjoyed our stay. Service was very nice too as they attended to us very politely and always with a smile. I'm a safe eater when it comes to japanese and I don't get it for myself unles I get to try it from whoever I'm with. So I got the lani salad and salmon sushi. Both were very good and you can tell freshness was really considered for their quality of taste. We'll be back. And next time I wanna try out their cocktails too and for that I think it's not gonna be on a family sunday get together :)

Their food is the bomb! I didn't expect much from a restobar, but their Japanese rolls are to die for! Favorites are the philly cheesesteak and tiger prawn maki rolls. Really love the sisig, too. The beer is cheap, plus on special days you can book the second floor for a karaoke night.

First time trying FoodPanda. Heard really great stuff about this app from my cousins, and when they’d order from the app, the service was commendable. So, I downloaded the app, and redeemed the “150 off your first order” promo [promo code: APPINESS] My family and I ordered from Nommu. We ordered: 3 Spicy Tuna Sashimi with wasabi mayo, chili mayo, and spicy lemon dips Jurassic Maki roll Uncle Sam roll Tori Karaage Food-wise: the food was all right. The sashimi was drenched with Japanese mayo and wasn't as fresh as we'd like, the bacon on the Uncle Sam Roll was too hard to chew, and the Karaage was super oily. Also, the sushi broke apart every time we tried to pick it up with our chopsticks (sorry for the poor picture of our delivery, hahaha). The only dish we enjoyed was the Jurassic Roll (*we highly recommend that one), and was the savior for this review. Perhaps, it'll be better if my husband and I can actually go out, so maybe when our newborn Tala's older, we'll personally give Nommu another chance (with the little one with us too, of course).
