Tasty House 18 - Queens

I got a curry chicken for takeout and when I opened the lid, the first thing I saw was the cockroach?s eyes staring back at me. Half the body of the roach was sticking out of the curry sauce, so I used the chopsticks to double check. Good thing it was thefirst thing I saw and I had not started eating yet. Unfortunately, the other two orders had already been eaten/halfway done.Knowing how most restaurants are, of course they will be dirty and such but I cannot ever come back to this place after thisincident. Absolutely repulsed.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. I ordered the Beef Chow Fun to go. When I arrived home, the dish was still hot, and I took a picture to capture it. The noodles were dark due to a generous amount of sauce added, which enhanced the flavor. I enjoyed the taste and will definitely return in the future.

This review is specifically for the fried taro dim sum! It was a crispy and delicious treat, filled with pork and a generous amount of filling. The sesame lotus seed paste ball was also fantastic, and they don't close the bags tightly so the pastry stays crispy. The best part is that both items are only $2 each! They also offer premade egg waffles for $2, which is the best price I've ever seen.

I recently tried the duck noodle soup at this restaurant and it was quite delicious. The service was speedy and the staff were very friendly. It seemed like a popular spot for older clientele, perhaps because the food reminded them of their youth.
