Hook Reel Cajun Seafood - Queens

I can only give this restaurant 3 stars. While the staff is generally friendly, I need to provide an honest review to help them improve. We were a party of 11, hoping to enjoy our time together at one table. When we arrived, we asked if there were two tables close to each other, even if they were separate, and we were informed that was not possible. We were also told there would be a 30-minute wait. However, we ended up waiting nearly 50 minutes.

Me my wife came here Tuesday, days after her birthday arrived 2pm. There was another couple that was good 4 me. The waitress was very nice explained everything about the all U can eat offer, the 18% auto gratuity, which I'm trying 2 wrap my head around. Calamari was not that good, but the mozzarella sticks wings were. Good Chardonnay, we had a bottle. Had snow crabs, big shrimps, 2 good sized potatoes, mussels, wrapped tied in big plastic bag 2 keep it

The food was delicious, the music was enjoyable, and the rum punch was excellent. The waitress was attentive and courteous. The only downside for me was the automatic 18% gratuity added for parties or events, especially since the DJ was playing on a Saturday night. I feel that the tip should not be influenced by the DJ or my experience as a customer, as that decision is ultimately the manager's responsibility.

I went in early Saturday afternoon around 2:30pm , and there wasn?t that much people. It was the best time to go in , less crowded in the weekend. The food is really good , we got non breaded wings . The New England clam chowder was really good !!! Pina colada was one of the best , we had the mango flavor and passion fruit flavor. Our server was really great , I think her name was Daniella . I will definitely be visit again soon

My first visit to any of these chains and I can say my experience was definitely pleasant. Keynaya was the right amount of everything. The crab boil came out to us piping hot and the taste was a tad bit salty but just what we were craving. I would definitely come
