Bidrage med feedbackComing from the NYC area I have had authentic and Americanized Thai food, both of rich are better than this place.
Ordered the pad thai with chicken and it was a huge portion, but didn't have much flavor. You could barely taste the tamarind, there were just a few bean sprouts and scallions and way too many noodles. Also no peanuts. I ordered it with medium spice and it was barely noticeable. Not too expensive and not really very tasty.
My partner and i visited saturday afternoon with some serious hangover munchies which are usually very easy to satisfy. This branch of Thai Express failed to do that. The service was fine and we even got to use some vouchers that came through the door to lower the price. I got the Pad Sew that was on special that day, you would assume that because of that it would be made very well on that day inparticular....it was tasteless, had to smother it in soy sauce to get anything close to flavour from it. My partners Pad Thai was ok but weve had better from other Thai Expresses, nevermind other Thai take-outs and restaurants. Very poor showing, im glad this branch doesnt do delivery in Quebec City.
Fast food chains, especially Asian ones, have as their duty to respect standards and quantities predetermined up. This precise point of sale, however, tends to rise above the average for quality and quantity. To try if you are in the area!
I always measure how good a Thai restaurant is by ordering Pad Thai, the simplest dish that every Thai restaurant should do well. This one scores only an average. Good place to go if you are in a hurry, but if you have time, find a real restaurant and spend the time waiting.
