Le Grill Barroso - Québec

We were a group of 13 people celebrating a special occasion, and someone recommended Barroso restaurant to us for its great location and available parking. Despite the convenient location, free parking, and excellent service from waiter Rodrigo, this restaurant does not do justice to Portuguese cuisine. The restaurant is clean and the decor is average, but could use some improvements on the upper level where we were seated. While we were warmly welcomed, the food was a major disappointment. Regardless of what dish we ordered from the menu, they all looked and tasted the same - overly red in color. The chicken was dry, the ribs were too salty, and overall, we were let down by our dining experience. We had hoped to showcase Portuguese dishes to our esteemed guests, but unfortunately, this restaurant fell short of our expectations.

We were a group of five people who wanted to eat in Lachine and somewhere on the waterfront. Barroso fit the bill. I had read reviews before leaving the house and the majority of them said exactly what I'm going to say now, but we were willing to give it a try anyway.Four of us ordered the ribs and chicken combo. The chicken was dry, the ribs tasteless (we dipped them in ketchup just to get some sort of taste), and the french fries soggy. The french fries are sliced thin so they look like potato chips but unfortunately they were anything but crisp! Yugh! The only person who enjoyed their meal was the person who ordered the squid platter. I tasted a piece of her squid and it was delicious with a nice texture.The only good thing about Barros was their bread basket and the salad which came with all of the meals.Service was slow, slow, slow.Will not return.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and were pleasantly surprised. The location was convenient, the restaurant was clean, and they offered a great selection of grilled dishes. The chicken was excellent and paired perfectly with their variety of wines. The appetizers were also unique and delicious. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening at this restaurant.

This restaurant was amazing! We were greeted warmly by a young lady in a cozy atmosphere with beautiful music playing in the background. We started with a delicious Portuguese beer for our aperitif, followed by a meal that included a bottle of wine recommended by our server. My husband and I shared a plate of the best sweet jumbo shrimp we've ever had. Despite the crowded restaurant, the service was impeccable. I highly recommend giving this place a try, as we will definitely be returning. Guaranteed!

Good Portuguese restaurant good and simple .the decor is a little sports bar, simple furniture table with base in aluminium right chair red ,tele on the wall no table cloth simply utensile and towel paper, on this point when on its menu chicken has Portuguese and lift quota a coffee towel quality coffeeteria is insufficient. The evening when we went there (catastrophe) we wait ten minutes to be placed then the server assigns us a table another ten minutes before we come to greet us and pour us a little water. time runs a server comes to tell us that they are overwhelmed because there is a party on the second floor. the time is running, we still don’t have to serve us, finally a waiter comes to us. You’re ready to order we answer it by the affirmative we pass the chosen order of our wine(s fairly poor and all ratted with big x on what it no longer have in inventory see photo, so we choose a bottle of national touriga we come back at the end of several minutes of waiting to make us say that it was no more Finally we bring our in, green cabbage soup followed by a simple salad, onion tomato greenery, olives, vinaigrette and once again one half hour later yes, yes thirty beautiful minutes later it arrives at the end with our main dish. I had chosen a grilled mix and my friend chicken out the dishes are all accompanied by homemade chips happily the meats was good but we had a show and we had to go in haste without taking the time for dessert and lecafé we had initially advised that we had to leave for a show. In short it was a misadventure that I no longer want to relive, you should not forget my restaurateur friends when a customer moves to one of your restaurant hiss to have a pleasant experience and you don’t want to know all your internal party worries in the second lack of staff I go to the restaurant to be quiet and enjoy a good time of worries I also have my work and I rule them. a good hearer
