Best fish and chips always and amazing BBQ Chicken Pizza. The ratatouille was good. The ambience inside was so much more beautiful than the terrace, the chairs were very comfortable armchairs and the walls had all kinds of animal art / prints on them. The servers were friendly and helpful. Anyway, I'd eat here again!

I stopped eating in Archibald on the recommendation of some people I met when I went. Everywhere else I had either menus I didn't care about or was just so far that I went to Archibald. When I arrived, there was a big bus of seniors who just sat down, but the manager *still* said I could come to dinner if I were all right to sit in the bar (of course I was)! Once sitting, I was treated like a queen by one of the best bartenders I've ever met. Patrick was quick, friendly and extremely helpful, not only about food, but also about people and life in Quebec City (I love to know these things so that I just love my choice to eat more at Archibald and, as I saw around the room, I could see that everyone openly enjoy their interaction with Patrick now, that is magic! But back to dinner... I'd run for hours, so I was faded, but don't fade if you know what I mean. Archibald has a very sturdy, tasty sound menu, but I knew most of it would be too much food for me, so I chose French Onion Soup. It was absolutely delicious if I could change one thing, I would have had more broth and slightly crasper onions, but it was still very good as it was. After I sat people watching for a while, I decided to have a piece of cheesecake with berries. I wouldn't change my dessert! Not one! If you are looking for a place that feels like the perfect mix between Gastro Pub and fine food, with a cheap hearty fare, Archibald is exactly what you need!

Had an excellent lunch here. Everything was fantastic. My vegetarian burger, the Kichererbsburger, was made great by scratches – not by one – and in every way. The Valkyrie Cheesecake (photo below) was particularly pleasing – definitely not your usual cheesecake. What made the meal exceptional, however, was our amazing server, Magalie. She was the quintessential server, gets five out of five stars in all dimensions what she did for us, really went the extra mile to make sure we are happy with what we ordered, etc. Magalie, for our first meal in Quebec City such a showtup!

Cosy place, good food and drinks! Definitely a good choice for a weekend night. With my husband and ordered Poutine, Pommes and chickens BBQ wings that were really delicious, the Sangria was well done, we loved everything from this place. Prices were ok and service super friendly. Great that it is located in the heart of the old city.

We had an amazing night here last night. Of all the restaurants and bars we have been to during our Quebec visit this one by far was the best. Great food and service! The location is beautiful inside and out! The staff were all very nice Especially Simon he provided great service, he's very sweet, polite and tentative, we never had to wait to long for drinks even though they were constantly very busy, even our food was out very fast. Will definitely make this a regular spot when I come back to visit the province!!
